(This is Vixanne, ...Thanks for posting your answer! (This is Vixanne, btw. I just finally decided to come out of the blog closet.)

I guess I'm just cynical. I like all of those same things too. I just don't believe that the vast majority of politicians really care that much about other people and not their own careers--and I certainly don't believe that about any politician with hopes to become president. I think that by nature anyone who seriously aspires to be president is an egomaniac and is bound to make some big compromises along the way to get to that point.

I know that Obama SAYS all of those things, but I don't see how what he's done really sets him apart from Hillary. I feel like it's easy for him to say those things because he's had less time in politics to have had to make those compromises like Hillary has. He was against the war, but he wasn't in the senate when they had that vote. Would he have caved if he had been? We'll never know.

I would rather have the devil I know rather than the one I don't. LOL.

But it looks like the country is definitely swinging toward Obama and although he's not my favorite, I refuse to vote for the republicans. So I suppose that soon I will have to become an Obamaniac myself! :)Roxannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08915721334800247580noreply@blogger.com
